Santa Paula, CA
Located just 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean, much of the land in agriculture-heavy Santa Paula is covered in acres of orange, lemon, avocado and strawberry fields - earning the area its title as "Citrus Capital of the World."
Many of the farms' employees live in town and ride to work together every day, accounting for the area's impressive carpooling numbers.
Some residents describe the town as the last great "citrusscape" in California, and it even claims to have some of the best weather in the world, with average high temperatures that range from the high 60s to the low 80s, year-round.
