Enthusiastic investors kept bidding up the stock as Apple was hitting on all cylinders. The iPhone and iPod Touch were two of the year's hottest new products. The lackluster reception for Microsoft's new Vista operating system gave a boost to Mac sales -- laptops were especially strong -- helping Apple finally realize a big increase in market share.
