2008 Chrysler Town & Country
Sticker price range: $25,730 - $36,530
The deal: $3,500 to $4,500 in cash rebates or low-rate financing

Chrysler's redesigned minivan has all the stuff that makes minivans so good: Lots of interior space, wide-opening sliding doors and seats that conveniently disappear when you don't need them.

While it's neither as nice to drive as the Honda Odyssey or as solidly reliable as the Toyota Sienna, the Town & Country offers a matchless array of optional features, including back seats that can be turned to face one another and individual video screens for each back row. Heavy incentives on 2008 models also open up a significant price gap.

The Town & Country also has a much more pleasant interior than its more workman-like cousin the Dodge Caravan, so it's the one we'd prefer.
